Move over candlelight. Solar-powered Mason jars were the illuminators of choice at our dinner tables during part of our African safari.

We also found these unique lighting sources, Consol Solar Jars, in the gift shop at Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport.

Considering African countries enjoy many sunny days, our camps used solar panels and other sun-catching devices to supplement their power needs.

Nature is a powerful thing. Nothing proves that point more than the safari experience.
